A short roster checklist before your next Clash of Clans war

When a clan has more volunteers than places in its next war, choosing who sits out can turn into an argument. A useful starting point is to check who used the attacks they were given, then ask about the exceptions.

We also run Clash Insight, an independent Clash of Clans fan site. These checks explain how to use its clan and war tools when preparing a roster.

Check who is in the clan now

Open the Clash Insight clan lookup with your clan tag and check the member list. Read the data timestamp, especially if people have recently joined or left. A saved roster may need updating.

Confirm war availability with the members themselves. Being on the roster does not tell you whether someone has agreed to play this week.

Look at missed attacks with the right denominator

WarPickr loads completed wars recorded by ClashKing, where available. You can choose a period and filter regular wars or CWL. It also accepts completed war JSON if you already have it.

Its missed-attack percentage is unused attacks divided by available attacks. A regular war normally gives a member two attacks; a CWL war gives one.

  • A member has eight available attacks across four regular wars. If they use six, they missed two: 25%.
  • A member has four available attacks across four CWL wars. If they use three, they missed one: also 25%.

Check the number of wars behind that percentage. Missing one attack in one recorded war is much less evidence than a pattern repeated over several wars.

Open player details before deciding

Read the war-by-war breakdown for anyone suggested to sit out. Check the battle dates and ask whether they had an agreed absence or were told to save an attack. The records show unused attacks, but cannot explain the player's circumstances.

WarPickr suggests a lineup from attack usage. Use its shield control to keep a player in when you have a reason, and set how many members need to sit out. The suggestion does not measure attack skill or predict who will earn the most stars.

Before you share the lineup

  • Confirm the current members and their availability.
  • Check which completed wars were counted. Missing records do not prove that a player skipped a war.
  • Explain exceptions and share the numbers behind the decision. WarPickr can copy the lineup for Discord.

Clash Insight is unofficial and is not endorsed by Supercell. Historical coverage depends on the wars recorded by ClashKing; it may be incomplete for your clan.
